The 30th annual Gateway to the Americas Cup is now underway in Orlando, Fla., bringing industry professionals from across the globe to compete in the coveted design competition.

From June 3 to 7 designers will be given five timed tasks of varying guidelines to complete over the course of the weekend. The competition awards winners more than $10,000 in scholarships and prize money.

On Saturday, June 6, designers completed Task 3. Check back for more from the Gateway to the Americas Cup with coverage throughout the event.

TASK 3: Cocktails – Intimate Table for Two

  • TIME: 2 hours
  • TABLE: Low cocktail table with dimensions not provided
    • Low cocktail table linen will be provided (table linen will be black)
    • Designers can bring their own linen or table runner, must be made of fabric
    • No table wear is permitted, no plates, no stemware, no flatware
  • MATERIALS: All fresh flowers and foliages will be provided
    • Colors of fresh flowers will be,  reds, burgundy, hot pink, deep raspberry
    • All hard goods and vessels will be provided
