Though Pomme and Daniel spent more than a decade living in London at the same time, it took a trip to Bangkok for them to meet through friends at a bar—where Daniel tried to impress Pomme by ordering a round of Jaegerbombs. “I left afterwards semi-unimpressed, but decided to slip my business card into his shirt pocket,” says Pomme of that first encounter. “I quite liked his silver fox hair and was amused by his bubbly character.” They spent more than two years dating from a distance while Pomme finished her master’s degree, and on a last-minute trip to Mallorca in 2018, Daniel proposed with a custom-designed ring at sunset on the beach. After an intimate service in London on May 17, 2019, Pomme and Daniel planned a destination ceremony and reception back in the place where they became engaged—Mallorca—for 150 guests; attendees flew in from Australia, America, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and Singapore. They chose Finca Son Togores as the location for their big day, and the couple took advantage of its central location to coordinate a full weekend of events that included a welcome dinner at a local seafood shack and a sunset catamaran cruise the day after the wedding. By working with a Mallorca-based planner and having a clear idea of their creative direction, the couple was able to stay relaxed during the preparation phase. “Try to enjoy the process,” says Pomme. “Once it’s over, it’s over.
