Sympathy design needs to evolve from the traditional tributes of the past to more personalized reflections of vitality in life. Using a “Tropical Nouveau” combination of tropical and temperate botanicals adds edginess and intrigue – as well as the amazing fragrance of garden roses – to create beautiful memorial events.
Hanging Garden Beauty
The selection of flowers was chosen to depict an uncontrived garden and for their rich color palette and interesting textures. Stem insertions into the floral-foam cage are designed to mimic the way the botanicals may grow wildly on a hillside, dripping with beauty and full of intoxicating fragrance. Vines are entangled onto the yarn-covered rattan sticks, which serve as a curvilinear trellis. The key to the mind-set of this style of design is to emulate nature, not to force contrived pattern.

Heavenly Beauty
Two nautilus spirals created from rattan sticks form a pair of “angel wings.” They’re inserted at the top of the floral-foam cage, forming a beautifully symmetrical curvaceous form framing a column of white flowers. The “Tropical Nouveau” blend of flowers contrasts the dramatic surface texture of Anthurium with the soft and fluffy-petaled garden roses. This combination flows gracefully downward along with cascading strips of hala foliage and a strand of rattan sticks. The design aptly summons the ethereal angelic voices from heaven with its beautiful fragrance.

Multiple tatami strips, formed from rattan sticks, are gracefully twisted, woven and bound to the floral-foam cage, creating a sleek Moderne sculptural silhouette. This Hawaii Neotropica mixture of tropical flowers and foliages (monochromatic or analogous hues) also captivates the eyes with their intriguing forms.
