The exhibition stand accommodating Sion Young Plants at the TPIE 2020 trade show shines the spotlight on the company’s new fragrant Phalaenopsis varieties, Odorion and Scention (see image above). These varieties are characterized by their delightful scent similar to perfumed soap which is especially noticeable in the morning. For consumers, introducing these scented plants to their home means adding a natural home fragrance.
With these varieties, “Sion is responding to the needs of the market to keep offering consumers more new Phalaenopsis varieties – not just in appearance but also in how they smell,” says company owner Eric Moor.
The latest varieties and trends on display in the Sion Trend Lab, which was created less than a year ago (De Lier – The Netherlands). Sion says its lab inspires growers, export companies, wholesalers, retailers and social media influencers wanting to be the first to discover innovations all year round. This past November, Sion and acclaimed trend translator Sandra Könings (Trendlogic) added two new trends to the Sion Trend Lab: ‘Organic’ and ‘Sun’. ‘Organic’ responds to the trend for sustainability for growers who ask how they can apply the Phalaenopsis in a trendy way. According to Sion, ‘Sun’ is a trend that evokes holiday memories – to “Get that happy holiday feeling every day with orchids.” In other words, the Sion Trend Lab is a must-see.
Visit the Sion booth No. 219 at TPIE 2020: Wednesday, January 22-24 @ 9AM – 5PM, Friday until 2PM, to see the newest Phalaenopsis varieties.
