The owners also have something else to celebrate this month — the 50th anniversary of the shop being bought by their family. “It feels great,” said Brad Golter, who owns the store along with his wife, Lisa Golter, and whose parents purchased the store decades ago. “We’ve been fortunate — we’ve had great people helping us all along. “The Longmont community’s been very supportive and we were fortunate to be here when (the town) grew, and we grew with it.” Linda Perkins, who has worked at the store crafting arrangements and bouquets since 1987 when it was in a different location in north Longmont, said though at times it may get a bit hectic — especially during the holidays and around Valentine’s Day — she enjoys the work she does. “I love to create,” she said. “It’s very satisfying, (it gives me) a good feeling to put things together and you know that it’s making somebody happy on the other end, or it’s easing their pain in some way. “… Flowers do a lot for people.” The shop specializes in bouquets for occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, illness and bereavement, but also will provide flowers for larger events such as funerals or weddings.
